Dr. Maria Marinova is a scientist with a PhD in the biology of aging from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and a bachelor's degree in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Glasgow. She has research experience at institutions including UC Berkeley, the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and Cancer Research UK. She also has experience in venture capital and company building in the longevity space. After her academic career, Maria worked at Apollo Health Ventures and VitaDAO, focusing on investment and early company building for biotechnology ventures developing therapies for longevity and for slowing cellular and organismal aging. She is currently Scientific Director at The Thalion Initiative, a philanthropically funded scientific organisation, and co-founder of BABA, where she works to turn aging research into real initiatives and entrepreneurial projects in Bulgaria.

Alexander Tchernev is a PhD candidate in the biology of aging at the University of Birmingham (UK) and holds a master's degree in biology with distinction from the University of Oxford. Currently, his main interest in longevity is cellular reprogramming, one of the few therapeutic approaches under development that has the potential not only to slow aging but also to deliver meaningful rejuvenation. Alongside his roles as a BABA co-founder and doctoral researcher, Alex is also a Venture Fellow at Healthspan Capital, a VC firm that invests in and supports startups developing therapies to increase the length and quality of human life.

Kamen holds a master's degree in law from the University of Cambridge and a bachelor's degree in medical sciences from King's College London. He practises as a barrister in England and Wales and as an attorney in Bulgaria, and he is the founder of New Balkans Law Office, a modern legal practice focused on international clients investing in Bulgaria. Since 2021 he has been active in the biology of aging space, working on investment and policy aspects. In 2025 he also founded the think tank The Longevity Initiative together with Andrew Steele, PhD.

Hristina Marinova is a biologist with a bachelor's degree in molecular biology and a master's degree in industrial microbiology from Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv. Her professional path also includes three years of experience as a biology teacher, which gave her valuable insight into the education system. She currently works in a laboratory as a biologist, where she gains hands-on experience with cell cultures and molecular diagnostic methods. Her interest in longevity is shaped by her scientific background, a holistic approach to human health, and personal observations. For Hristina, longevity is a lasting scientific, professional, and personal interest, as well as a way to promote healthy living and integrate health- and longevity-related topics into education.
